ABOUT NINKE NIEUWENHUIS
MY STORYNinke Nieuwenhuis is a writer, an illustrator and a weirdo.
She has a multiplicity of hobbies beside writing, but let us focus on the writing part. Whether it was for fun, for school, for university or for the sake of getting the words out of her head and written down on paper, she has been writing all her life.
“I tried to follow the biochemistry path, but it wasn’t for me. So I followed the writing path instead.”
Ninke was born on the 1st of May 1998. She lived in Portugal for over 10 years and has been living in The Netherlands since she was 14 years old. She lives together with her partner Alex and her two cats; Goose and Momo.
She graduated in Chemistry and has a Masters degree in Drug Discovery and Target Finding.
The first book Ninke published was Twisty Tales in January of 2023. Her next book, a childrens book called Crows on the Dancefloor, is planned for 2024!
“When I told my partner I wanted to switch carreers, from a well-paying job to working as a writer/illustrator, he said : I’m glad you’re following your dreams, I want to see you happy, and I think this will make you happy. He has been my biggest support.”
Ninke has been married to Alex since june of 2023.
